Jana Hunter ascends from the Lower Dens to pretty much own the stage with this unexpectedly awesome rendition of Cyndi Lauper's classic! What I find so brilliant about this particular performance is that it really does feel like the climactic scene from a beloved '80s movie with that haunting quality that those scenes tended to have when you actually watched them as an adolescent or a teenager back in the '80s. -- There was love (and drunken merriment) in the air at Baltimore's Wind-Up Space as the crème de la crème of Baltimore music and arts came together in a fire pit of passion to raise funds for The Baltimore Community Foundation. www.bcf.org The delightful and delicious Lexie Mountain hosted the evening with whirling dervish charm of a faery queen in heat. So, please kick back and relax with the somewhat awkward home video version of these fine performances. Pour a glass of red wine, kick off your shoes and please feel free to sing along, dance along, make sweet love! to that special someone or even to your own sweet, sweet self! -- Shot by Tom Kessler
